Take the leap.

When Durham artists talk vision, anything is possible

Looking forward to catching up with the STITCH core team on Monday evening at 8:30pm at Cocoa Cinnamon in Durham.

Akira, me and our boss-man (now 4 and a HALF) will be there to commingle with a dozen artists who’ve expressed interest in making original pieces. Each new work will be inspired by the STITCH effort to collect, from citizens, their answers to one question: “What do you want to see Durham become, in one word?”

The objective? Get people talking together about what’s in our hearts. Get people to share the love of this town, which one newcomer said, “Durham is a place that really likes itself. That’s unusual.”

How will STITCH evolve and what will it become? What will the artworks be, and mean, for the people who will view them? Where can we find homes in visible places around town for them to stay, and remind us of the work to set an intention, together, about a town we care about deeply.

Interested in learning more? Join us Monday.

Let’s dream together.

  1. Very good blog! Do you have any recommendations for aspiring writers? I’m hoping to start my own blog soon but I’m a little lost on everything. Would you advise starting with a free platform like WordPress or go for a paid option? There are so many options out there that I’m completely overwhelmed .. Any tips? Kudos!
