Three videos of Aether panelist Carlos Mare

I got to see Carlos’ metal sculpture installation at our own Carrack Modern in Durham (thanks John!) last year. It’s as if street art “tag” came alive with its own shadows and three-dee shapes. I admired the way the light reflects on his pieces and casts intricate patterns on walls and floors around.

In his youth, he was a street artist known as Mare139, and ran along with the “old school” graffiti makers in the heyday of the art form, as documented in “Style Wars:”
